The Radium Girls: Victims of the Living Death

Thesis

Prior to World War 2, The Radiant Dial Company hired employees known as the “Radium Girls”  who unknowingly painted watches with toxic paint. Years later they began to get ill, and fought for better protection and conditions for workers, which led to the establishment of OSHA.
